How did you get to be so creative?
I credit a very artistic childhood for that. When I was three years old, I took piano, violin, art and ballet lessons. As you can imagine, that kept me extremely busy. However, these lessons taught me that I could find grace in all things and it naturally led me to my chosen field in communications design, marketing and public relations. Being creative in this field helps me present fresh ideas and discover different angles for approaching projects.
Why do you read so many blogs? What are they, mostly?
The blogs I read cover many different topics. They range from design blogs and news articles, to your requisite lolcats pictures ? because hey, we all need a break sometimes. I like to keep abreast of what's happening in the design world and I find that a lot of my inspirations come from a certain handful of artists and photographers who always challenge people's perceptions of what's possible.
Did you design those word clouds? How'd you do it?
I sure did! The word clouds were created from discussions that I had with each of the Support Team members. I like that they're all different and it takes some time for people to read them. The inspiration for these "clouds" comes from social media tags that you see on some of the more popular blogs. As for how I made them, I used Adobe Illustrator to create the words and just designed with type. It's certainly a different way of presenting information!
