With 28 years in the travel industry, Jackie knows what it takes to run a successful agency. Jackie joined Travel Masters in December of 1997 and was instrumental in building Travel Masters Vancouver from the ground up. When she's not jet setting around the globe, she's our financial controller and social heart of the company.

So what does the director of resources do?
Well, as it turns out, I direct... resources. This includes directing everything from finances to events, as well as hiring and managing people.
How did you get so resourceful?
Throughout my early career first as a travel consultant and then as a manager, I learned to be creative and forge relationships. It taught me that resources are everywhere and in every form, but I find that people are the best resources for many different things. My motto is "Never be afraid to ask a question."
Tell me about your trip diaries.
When I worked at a large chain travel agency, I often had to do trip reports as part of my job. They have become quite a library of travel stories that I draw on when researching different cities and countries for my next trip. I currently have eight to ten full diaries, each with about three stories from major trips and this library keeps growing!
